   On July 18 the Bella Vista Animal Shelter in Bella Vista, AR, will hold its annual charity golf tournament to raise money to help offset the cost of operating the facility.

   At the BVAS it is our daily mission to provide food, shelter and medical care for animals in need until they are adopted into loving homes, but it is our evergreen mission to maintain the lowest euthanasia rate possible. Today, we’re proud to report, that rate is our lowest ever at 4% – well below the national rate by 61%. As you might expect, reaching and maintaining such a low percentage can be quite a financial burden on a not-for-profit such as ours.

   And thanks to site improvements in recent years and our caring staff, our adoption/reclaim and rescue rate since 2010 is at a phenomenal 93%, with a mere 1% return rate.

   Those low euthanasia and high adoption numbers are the standards we strive to uphold each and every day.

   To that end, I am asking today that you consider making a donation of a Cambria Pet Bowl set that we can use in this effort to help raise money. We are a 501(c)3 organization, (Tax ID 71-0782035) so talk to your tax expert about any credit to which you may be entitled as a donor.
